Happy Birthday Maggie & Gracie

This year, for Maggie & Gracie's 5th birthday, they chose to go to Build-a-Bear. My boys had never been and had such a great time. They played games while everyone got to "build" their bear. And then afterward, there was cake and presents. What a great afternoon!

Winter Carnival

Now that Nicholas is in Kindergarten, we now get to go to all the fun money-raising events at school. Each year, his school does a Winter Carnival. We went, intending to only spend an hour or so, but wound up spending almost 3. Mostly because the boys LOVED the "bounce room." They put 3 giant inflatables in there - a large slide, an obstacle course, and then a plain jumpy. The boys favorite was the slide.

The Tooth Fairy Came!

About 3 months ago, Nicholas came to me with his 1st loose tooth. We were sooo excited and he was just a bit nervous. So we talked about what would happen and all was well. We even made an envelope to put the tooth in after it fell out.

I was under the impression that once you got a loose tooth, it would fall out within a few days. Boy was I wrong! His tooth took about 2 months to fall out. We even double checked with our dentist because I thought something was wrong. But that's normal for some people. And on Dec 6, it finally fell out (with some help from Mommy)

The tooth fairy came that night and left us a little note and $1. He was sooo excited. And the very next day, he came to me and said,

"Mommy! I have another loose tooth!"

Yup..the one right next to it. And it's still loose.

Zack's Thumb

Zack and I have been spending more time together now that Nicholas is in school full-time. One day, while we were driving around, this was a conversation we had:

Zack: "Mommy. When will this hand get as tall as these hands?"

Mommy: (what the ?????) "I'm sorry, but what did you say?"

Zack: (holding up his hands) "When is this hand (pointing to his thumb) going to get as tall as these hands (pointing to his other 4 fingers)?"

Mommy: "OH! Well that is your thumb and ..." Explanation ensues.

Zack: "oh."
